Not For The Faint

One comes along, ever so often...

This is my favorite sort of project. A car so dilapidated yet so deserved of a life renewed. When this car first came to me, I was completely in. Dove head in first without a thought.

I immediately started taking it apart and cataloging all the parts. Section by section or part by part, as it carefully came off it got photographed, bagged, and labeled. The notion is that almost everything that comes off this car, with love and care, will go back on this car. As far as I can manage to!

However, as with a lot of my projects, there will be some subtle custom work to be done and unlike the engine, which will be painstakingly rebuilt from as much of the original pieces as can be. It's an early 2.0 ya know. I will look at the suspension and see just how I can improve the design, the drive, the overall stance and make this a sports purpose build with driven daily firmly in mind.
